Without question sports illustrated is my favorite sports mag, however lately espn the magazine has been great as well. Alright here's one other thing I'm starting to notice about ESPN which is getting pretty repetitive and annoying. I also can't stand how ESPN makes him look like he was an all-pro quarterback with their little things like "The Quarterback vs. I wish ESPN would come out with a DVD with a year full of those Not Top Ten plays they do every friday night. ESPN makes me mad sometimes.

According to a report in the Globe and Mail, ESPN announced on Tuesday that they have ended contract negotiations with the league. "Right now we're done negotiating," Mark Shapiro, ESPN's executive president for programming and production told the paper. The NHL announced its cable agreement with ESPN last May, worth half the $120 million US a season it made under the five-year, $600-million deal that expired with ABC/ESPN after the 2004 Stanley Cup Final. While ESPN and ESPN2 covered a plethora of games during its previous contract, the new deal called for ESPN2 to air just 40 regular-season contests. Shapiro indicated to the Globe that the only arrangement acceptable to ESPN at this point would be profit sharing. Well if no NHL,then ESPN might switch and carry the AHL.

Apparantly I'll have to steer clear of ESPN2 for a little while. Ea sports also made a deal with ESPN for NFL games and as shown the NFL what type of game it will continue to make. So you have EA sports reputation, ESPN which had the highest selling football game last year and the most powerful league in the US. I for one liked ESPN better than Madden this year and it makes me mad that there won't be another ESPN this year. That is why EA and ESPN have a deak together as well. I feel like that if EA tries to raise the prices, people will go for the ESPN games. Will ESPN continue to produce football games if they can't get licensed through the NFL or the Player's association. ESPN has a reached a deal with EA Sports in which EA Sports has the right to use the ESPN name and logo.
